corporatocracy

Your wellness is obviously on their minds. If you're not well, then you're a liability and will cost them money, somehow. That's a red-flag in the corporate world. That's why your numbers is all they are tracking, it's to measure compliance with wellness. Some places won't even hire smokers. A whole new set of prejudices are being established with a whole lot less sick-care coverage.

The HSA is their way of preparing for what's coming, they are reacting to the hostile economy. They'd rather you take the bill and pay for most of it. I say, quit paying into a broken system and quit using the sick-care system except in emergency situations where it shines.

This year, they said that in order to have any choice, as few as there are now, in sick-care options, it's mandatory to participate in their Wellness program. Otherwise, you'll get the highest deductible of $2k per year.

I can see both sides of the issue, but no thank you for requiring any sort of wellness programming.
