Since this is a really old post, I'll assume that this reply is for those who may get here through a search engine.
Our experience here has been that B5 (Pantothenic Acid) and Serine (phosphatidylserine) are quite helpful. My wife uses 1000mg B5 and 2 capsules of Serine 1 hour before eating, say, lentil soup (having a bit of tomato in it) - and her symptoms are nonexistent to severely reduced during about a 4-hour period. It's good insurance for dinner dates...
Stressful conditions seem to require more of both remedies as well.
