Re: How much water do I drink
Hi WY,
if one drinks only according to thirst, then the body does not necessarily become dehydrated.
For example, we listen and adhere to our bodily signals when we are tired and sleep/rest, or eat when we are hungry, and even stretch and yawn if we go without exercise, or are inactive for very long. The body has its own inimitable/innate intelligence in deciding what it needs, and that would include the return of natural hunger after a long fast, and before starvation sets in.
It has always been recorded from the annals of Hygiene that there is a corresponding lessening of a demand for water/fluids with the abstention from food: this was also Sheltons experience, and even my own, on my own two prolonged fasts.
Water as with food always tastes better (much better) when we go without it for quite some time, and indeed I remember vividly how fresh organic carrot juice tasted after 25 days on water only. Pure nectar from the Gods.
Defining what thirst actually is in words is very difficult, but is (as you probably know) an intensely pleasurable sensation that only those who have experienced it will appreciate.
I could describe the experience of sky-diving for example, but there is little in the way of a substitute for the actual experience itself.
