Re: WF progress and symptoms
all sounds as expected..."symptoms" come and go, like leaves in the breeze. Yup, to the dreams. I personally make delicious food for others when on a water fast- this satisfies my inordinate INTEREST in food, while making it no sacrifice to do without. And much depends on your diet beforehand, hydration levels generally, level of body fat, toxins, etc. etc., as to what to expect. An honest examination of your current level of health will tell you much about how things will go.
(In this regard, every person is their own best fasting 'supervisor' -- if only they can look at/listen to themselves without any blame, and with the wish to become a better 'listener', so to speak.)
I recommend skin brushing, (with a natural bristle body brush -- You can do a search on this forum for more info.)
Lots of gentle and deep breathing, rest, sunshine, warmth
and good thoughts. Water "according to thirst", as they say. I find sometimes "thirst" is mental, sometimes physical; sometimes drinking more water than thirst might indicate
will help to break up some acid waste that is making one feel nauseated, or otherwise stuck in some difficult place.
Oh -- and lots of good reading on the water fasting process can be very confidence-building, and inspirational.
The Soil & Health Library, online is a GREAT resource.
Don't use gum, toothpaste, smoke--unless you feel you MUST, or you might go crazy), but DO enjoy the smell of flowers, fruit, all good things, and appreciate life.
edit: Even just to have all one's limbs working is a huge blessing! To have met the idea of improving health with a water fast can be counted as another huge blessing. We are all extremeley fortunate and ought to rejoice in that good fortune; our own and others'.
Sometimes taking a bath with Himalayan seasalt, esp. toward the latter part of a longer fast, can be a big help. (The minerals ease the rough patches)
otherwise, enjoy!
