Re: Optimal way to healthy fats - together or separate?

Hello! You raise a great question on fats. Here are some thoughts on when to eat healthy fats:

Dr. Rob Marshall (www.healthline.cc) says that if we eat unhealthy fats and healthy fats together, our bodies will recognize the healthy fats and absorb those fats over the unhealthy fats.

David Wolfe (the famous raw food nutritionist) says that if we take coconut oil with omega 3 EFA's, we will absorb the omega 3 EFA's much better.

Assuming the above is true, I try to spread out my fats during the day to ensure that my body only absorbs the good fats (in case I have some not so good fats during a meal). Also, I sometimes take a spoonful of coconut butter when taking omega 3's to ensure better uptake.

If you would like more general information on the different fats and why each is good check out http://www.antiaginganswers.net/healthyfats.html

I hope that helps!
