Hi, I just joined this forum. I have done a Water Fast for 50 days a year ago, I lost 85 pounds in that time. SW: 280 pounds, after fast weight: 195 pounds. I am on day 1 of new Water Fast SW 190 lbs. I don't plan anything ahead of time, mostly eat my favorite foods just before a fast. I have been doing one or two day fasts at a time to keep weight in check. Mostly I've been maintaining weight after fast though. I drink tap water -no bottled water which is only tap water anyhow. I don't do any colon cleanses. After day 3, you lose all appetite and fast is pretty easy (as far as hunger goes and not being tempted by food anymore). I am going to aim for another 60 day fast and hope to get to 115 lbs or about. One more thing I might add, when I first started fast, when feeling extra anxious or needed something to keep up the fast, I had a glass of warm milk at night (this during first two days of fast). So if a coffee/tea/milk etc. at night is what you need to keep you on track, go for it. Oh, and I don't do any exercise other than normal light walking say for 15min a day, if that. I like to take it easy on fast. I will keep everyone updated on this new fast.
