Re: High ESR and CRP! James need further advice please....
Thank you for your advice James. Have a few more questions.
I agree that I should have hyperthyrodism, then why would I get stomach ache if I dont take Licorice and Slippery Elm?
Sounds like gastritis, but not sure what is causing it. Could be several things including lack of stomach acid, autoimmunity or infection.
I get severe constipation as well.
Constipation also has a number of causes. For example dehydration, high calcium, high progesterone, lack of fiber, dehydration, hypothyroidism, sensitivity to dietary amines, nerve damage, etc.
Is hyperthyrodism anyway related to stomach, intestines infections?
No, but is can cause diarrhea. Your digestive are going to be a separate issue.
Just FYI, I have taken high doeses of grapefruit seed extract, powerful garlic tablets, Calcium ascorbate and digestive enzymes to address my chroic sinustitis which worked better for sinus, but do you think it would have damaged my instestines which causes pain in the lower abdomen...and occasionally in the upper part as well.
It is possible that you created an imbalance with the high levels of grapefruit seed extract (GSE). It was found that manufacturers were adding a strong synthetic antiseptic to their products. This could also kill the flora allowing for the formation of infections in the intestines.
Do you think, addressing hyperthyrodism may address my stomach issues also?
No, I still think the gastrointestinal problems are unrelated to the thyroid issue.
FYI, I am taking Kefir, Licorice and Slippery Elm, Rice bran these days, hoping that I would be relieved from my stomach pain...
The kefir and bran are really going to help in the intestines, not the stomach. The stomach issue still sounds like gastritis, but it is hard to say why without testing. Is there anything that makes the stomach hurt, or hurt worse, such as certain foods? Is it all the time or intermittent? Is the pain a burning or sharp pain or a dull ache?
Still concerned about what is causing my stomach problems.
Again there are a number of possibilities.
