Everyone has earth energy - whether you're barefoot in the middle of a forest or at 40,000 feet in an airplane.  Taking control of it, increasing it and experiencing it is a matter of grounding yourself (everyone has a grounding connection as well) and getting in touch with it.  Using a mat, a device or any physical instrument is a scam.  Earth energy channels, grounding connections, chakras, and other elements are a part of your spiritual energy system that you brought to the planet.  No cash or assembly required.   In looking around the 'net for the most neutral view of it I could find - here's one you can try for starters.  You can also do your own searches as well - I just happen to know this person and know that what she is teaching is real.
