Taking Vitamins & Minerals the 'wrong' way

Hi,

Say someone has a bad stomach condition, ulcer or something like that.
She/he cannot take vitamins or mineral caps. Can basically only ingest basic starch and protein to keep herself/himself functioning.

Would it make sense to prepare a small solution of, say, 30 ml of fluid, containing various vitamins and minerals - and take take it rectally (not expelling the fluid)?

Would the vitamins and minerals even get absorbed into the body, the way it normally does when taking via the stomach?
Or would it just be a waste of time and money, since none of it would be absorbed anyway?

Thanks.
