Re: Need help decoding thyroid results

Yep, you are hypo. You will find lots of really good information on Janie Bowthorp's site: http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com

To get a better picture of what's going on, you need your Free T4, Free T3 and maybe RT3 to see if there is a conversion problem if your Free T4 is optimal.

Without thyroid meds (desiccated thyroid -- Erfa's Thyroid from Canada), my TSH is around 4.0. I began developing more and more hypo symptoms when I was in my 20's and was diagnosed with fibromyalgia instead because my TSH of 4 was "IN RANGE", so I couldn't possibly be hypo according to my idiot doctor!!!

You also might find http://www.naturalthyroidchoices.org,
http://www.iodine4health.com
and VWT Iodine Supplementation forum //www.curezone.org/forums/f.asp?f=815
helpful. While you will benefit from thyroid medication (desiccated is preferable), our bodies manufacture thyroxine from Iodine so if you begin giving your body Iodine (and the companion supplements -- http://www.breastcancerchoices.org/iodineindex.html)
and can detox and purge the fluoride and bromide from your body and heal your iodine receptors, you may eventually get off the thyroid meds.
