Two years with swollen lymph nodes in left neck...and now constipated for the last six months
Around the first week of November 2009, I contacted a very bad cold and soar throat. I had fallen in the bathroom and hit my head, with two bumps in the back and a slight cut on the front of my scalp. Around the same time, I noticed a slightly swollen gland on the left side of my neck.
I went to the doctor. He looked at my thoat, and it was all red. He said it looked like a viral infection and that it would have to clear itself up. It did in about a week. But my gland was still swollen.
That was in Florida...when I was on a job assignment.
I'm now back in California where I live...these four months later...and the gland is STILL swollen.
However, I realized what might have contributed to this:
From before November to about two weeks ago, I was having THREE smoothies a day, with grape juice, two strawberries, a banana and TWO packets of processed instant oatmeal.
This took a toll on my little neck lymph node...the oatmeal especially with the banana...
I have since stopped the smoothies for the last two weeks...and started doing Apple Cider Vinegar....olive oil and lemon juice...now eating a lot of garlic...and I've gone gluten-free.
I've also just ordered a castor oil pack...and some glyco-thynomine mouth wast.
And I periodically now oil pull in the morning...and also take
Epsom Salt baths.
Am I doing the right things?
I went to a doctor here in California and he prescribed me an antibiotic...but the swelling remained.
I think it's just gonna take time for the swelling to go down. It's not a large swelling...and it is painless. But it is there.
In any case, I've been to the doctor, had blood tests...and everything came back negative.
Now, almost two years later, the lymph node is still swollen...and I've been constipated for approximately six months.
I've been drinking only distilled water...red meat and processed foods are pretty much out of my life.
I've been eating a lot of fruit and vegatables and fish and nuts.
What's the deal? Is too much protein causing the constipation?
Are my lymph nodes just "shoddy"?
I've done some cleanses (castor oil and freshly squeezed WHOLE lemons (skin and all)...in the morning before any meals...and it did wonders. The constipation stopped...for a day or so.
Good stools for a little bit.
Then went back to dark stools...pelts...no nice long think light colored stools (like Dr.
oz says there should be).
Could it be hypothyroidism? Hirshimot's Disease? Celiac disease?
I've stopped the wheat, too...and the whole grains.
Doing Apple Cider Vinegar....Aloe Vera Juice...and on and on...
No real constant relief.
Just plain frustrated.
Please help.
