harvest dandelions?

I have read a lot of post on harvesting storing, etc. Lots of good info but I still don't know when the best time to harvest dandelions is? Can I harvest now or should I wait till spring? I have the post uny wrote on harvesting etc. in my favorites but I'm not sure about dandelions.
