I might qualify as a vet I was from before the people you mention (though they outdo me in knowledge)and have done 80 flushes over many years.
Since this is a liverflush support forum I can tell you when after you have done enough it becomes very simple.
The last ones I did overnight, so my fasting was overnight,
took ES before bed, set the alarm for 5am ES again and about an hour later the oil etc and about (can't remember the timing) 1 hour later ES and then went on with my day.
Since I am retired I was able to stay home, but this can be done on the week-end.

I am aware that my system is not one of the regular protocols.

I would think it is hard to do with just supplements but I do take taurine, tmg and bitters, just taking care of the liver is important.
