Oh, the other reason mercury was suspected, I broke a 2' fluorescent tube around 6 years ago, a large compact fluorescent bulb 2 years ago, and that same year received a damaged compact fluorescent bulb in mail. The mercury probably remained dormant in my tissues before migrating to my eyes. Guess who is finally switching to all LED bulbs? :)
