Don't get me wrong, I love everything about iodine; it has changed my life. That's why this one negative side makes me sad. I have always possessed perfect 20/20 vision, so it scares me a little.
It took me a few months to narrow down my hyperopia and myopia and overall double vision to
Iodine alone. Post-iodine, I noticed problems making out people's blurry faces from a distance and reading small text close-up. Discontinuing
Iodine for a whole month abates the problem by around 70-80 percent. Though, just two short days of high dose
Iodine (50mg) sends my eyes right back into a tizzy.
I already supplement with every single thyroid detoxifier(selenium, vitamin C, magnesium, sodium. l-tyrosine, vitamin B-complex etc.) and eye detoxifiers (taurine, carnosine, zeaxanthin, astaxanthin etc.)
Anyone else have a similar experiences??? I have also tried MSM and acetyl-l-carnosine eyedrops and have no signs of any Graves disease. Any other suggestions or ideas as to the causes? :)
