I've never heard anyone say Castor oil is toxic, maybe it depends on the grade? here Castor oil is sold as "Virgin Castor Oil BP" and its used for constipation.

In India they use Castor oil as a home tonic and make it during the summer. I'd rather use OO, Castor oil would taste horrific in a large dose I would imagine.
