Re: Supplements for better sleep.

Is your insomnia worst since taking wellbutrin? Because insomnia is part of its commun side effects. So maybe you should talk to your md first...

Also it is important to try and find the root cause of the insomia: are you anxious and relentless during the day? If so yoga, breathing technique and frequent pauses during the day can help you a lot.

If it is candida albican, in my personnal experience, colonics literally change my life! I now sleep so much deeper than before! (i was an insomniac for 10 years because of mold exposure).

Liquid magnesium really help to relax and molybdenum helps a lot with die-off symtoms that you might have while taking antifungals. (brain fog, insomia...)

Also hypoglycemia can lead to frequent awakenings: a snack before bed made of protein, good fat and complex carbohydrate( brown cracker with peanut butter and sliced apple by exemple) can help you as well as taking chromium during the day.

The rest is really like the others said about creating a sleeping routine and avoiding stimulants. By exemple each night about an hour before going to sleep you might want to shut the lights off and do a relaxing activity like reading or watching tv, to send the message to your body that you are slowly going to sleep.

Also be aware that there is a difference bw being tired and being sleepy...you should only go to sleep when you have physical signs of being sleepy: your eyes start being heavy, you have difficulty to concentrate on tv or radio...etc

If you can't fall asleep, get out of bed and go back to a quiet activity (tv, radio, reading) until you are sleepy again: this way you will avoid the association between insomnia and your bedroom and the frustration that comes with it...its' better to sleep 4 good hours than 12 bad ones...

Also try not to sabotage yourself by disturbing further your sleep pattern during the day: if you take a nap: no more than one hour and do it before 3 o'clock pm...other wise it will interfere with your night of sleep..

Good luck!

P.
