Mary,
What a lot of people here have found is that instead of being hypo-thyroid (strictly speaking), it is their adrenals at-fault, which is causing a deficiency in thyroid (and thymus) activity.
Your temperatures in morning are a little lower than mine (mine are 96.8), but during the day, I rarely get into 98.0. If I walk in the rain for five minutes, my temp can go down to 94.5.
I would think about approaching your symptoms from a perspective of adrenal fatigue. Maybe do the saliva test. Personally, I feel the hair mineral test is even better.
