7 Days & Done: A Successful Failure?

Although I went into the fast looking for a long-term fast to unfold, I've had some work requirements come up that are going to require some significant physical activity and I had to choose to end the fast now.

It's so stupid how much I feel I have 'failed', even though I had a very successful 7 day fast. It's just hard to be OK with stopping early when you're looking for 21+ days as the 'goal'.

7 days is legit though. My 'career' fasts are 6, 21, 6, and 7 days respectively. I'm looking at the end of August as a possible starting point of my next one.

Seeing as how 7 days was nowhere near long enough to accomplish my goals on the fast, I decided to look into ways to stay in ketosis post-fast to continue the burning of body fat.

Basically, low-carb. Low-carb diets had never really 'clicked' for me but now I see exactly what they are trying to accomplish. All I want to do is stay in ketosis, so I'll be focusing on building a diet with as few carbs as possible. (I'm going to miss my oranges!)

I feel good about this bend in the road because I can use this 7 day fast (where obviously I went into ketosis) as a springboard for "ketosis while feeding".

Since this whole experiment is beyond the scope of this board I won't be talking about it here, but I'll definitely be around as I will be fasting in the future without question.
