Re: food list

It does complicate diet to the point where it's almost impossible to reconcile all the competing concerns, but hey, if this is the top level mechanism, maybe the microbes won't have the same ability to cause problems if you can keep the toxins from leaking out. You know, assuming they haven't already invaded the tissue or you've pretty well got them under control.

What also caught my attention was that fat malabsorption was at the root of the calcium deficit. My body really started to change once I focused on malabsorption issues, esp protein and fat and the role of bile, lipase and lymph. Perhaps a big part of that was improved calcium absorption?

I've never supplemented much calcium though, as I've been pretty well programmed not to do it out of fear of aiding microbes. Although, I'm warming to the the idea of taking calcium citrate between meals, or with meals that are supplemented with plenty of lipase/bile salts or acids.

What I still don't understand how this relates to inflammation. That is, if you also have inflammation, will addressing this be of any help.

I think your idea of making a few simple changes makes sense, like removing some of the worst offenders. And I agree, that some foods like kale may have benefits that outweigh or even neutralize the oxalate concern.
