I appreciate very much your reply, but I think that the real parameter that determines the particle size is not the absolute value of the current but the current density. This is the reason I was asking. You see if one passes 30 micro amps through the surface of an electrode that is absurdly small as one thousandth of a square inch one would get 30 milliamp/sq inch, but with a surface of 1 sq inch, one would get 30 micro inch/ sq inch. That is a difference of 1000! And I am sure that in the first case one would get very large particles even with “only” 30 micro amps!
