my mom had fibroids when she got pregnant with us (twins)
they told her to have them removed and have a hysterectomy, but she had two healthy babies, and refused the surgery. She's now 65 and feeling fine.
I've got a 15
cm ovarian cyst that I'm trying to get rid of. I was given the same alarmist insistence from my doctors, but I don't believe that it is as bad as they say. It's been five years now, and, according the the doctors, I should have been in terrible condition by now. But instead, I have the easiest periods (no cramps or sore boobs unless I eat badly that month), and I have no discomfort from my cyst. Sure it's inconvenient that I have a belly, but really my life hasn't changed much at all. Though I think it's presence, and my general poor health (the two are so interconnected, no?) has made me more tired than usual.
Now I am on my 14th day of my fast, and, though I'm not sure the cyst has reduced much, if at all, we'll see at the end of the 30 days. I'll be doing an ultrasound.
I expect, though, that it will take some time to eliminate it completely, but what's time if the thing has probably existed for 8 to 10 years?
I do know others who have reduced cysts and tumors with the aid of fasting, naturopathy, lifestyle change, etc. Any one or combination has worked.
Have you seen the site for Dr. Day? She had malignant
Breast Cancer - a huge lump in her chest! - and, with fasting and natural foods, she got rid of it over a period of time...I don't think it was immediate, though. Anne Frahm had cancer all over her body and was given only weeks to live, but she eliminated all of the cancer over 5 weeks of periodic fasting and raw foods.
Not many have written about dissipating the problems you and I have - what compells you to take the time to put it out there in a book? A life or death situation, generally, which is not the case with fibroids or cysts. I've used the cancer success stories as a model. A growth is a growth, after all.
Be patient, and monitor the fibroid.
I had an ultrasound last week, and will do another at the end of this thirty day fast. Then I'm doing raw foods for a month, and may have another ultrasound, and then I'll decide if I want to do another fast. And so on...
I'm prepared to take the time. The only other option is to have them go in there and take stuff out. Being thirty two, I don't want to wake up in menopause. I'm sure you don't either.
A friend of mine went in for a simple surgery to remove an ovarian cyst, and she woke up with everything taken out. They didn't even consult with her. Her life has never been the same. It took her eight months to have her organs adjust to the change, she can't lose weight so easily any more, she has to take premarin, she now has to lubricate regularly, she is frequently depressed and suicidal occasionally, she has to take anti depressants, and she's devastated that she can't have kids.
I don't think anyone wants that.
Hope this helps.
