Re: Solids whilst fasting?
Yeah there is definitely effort involved but I've streamlined my workflow as efficiently as I can and it's not so bad. What I'm finding is you need a whole fridge to stock up for a few of days at a time. I bought myself some plastic containers the size of a typical shoe box and 2 double the width so I can keep my veggies sorted out and have quick easy access otherwise it would be mayhem in the fridge. They are clear so you can see whats in'em. The 2 big ones are where I keep the cukes and
Celery which is what I use is the base for my green juices so I get sizable quantities. The only thing lacking to make things a little more efficient is a wheeled kitchen cart to take the veggies from the fridge to my
juicing station in one trip.
I'm using a Champion juicer which is really fast and easy to clean. When I'm done making the juice I have a big bowl in the sink that I fill with hot water and I throw the parts in there and keep the hotwater running and empty/refill the bowl a coupla times rinse the parts in hot running water and that's it cept for a quick scrub of the screen with a brush. 2 mins tops. I also own an Omega juicer which yields better quality juice from leafy greens and fruits but it is waaayyy slower than the Champion. I have to replace some broken parts on the Omega and just ordered them today but because of the speed and efficiency of the Champion it's prolly what I will use the vast majority of the time.
I'm finding 3 qts of juice to be my rhythm both for my personal capacity and also because it corresponds to the 3 daily meals. I drink a qt of water when I first wake up and also extra water throughout the day so I am getting in anywhere from 4 to 5 qts of fluids in my system daily. Any more and I'd have to move in the loo cause I'd be peeing constantly ;+D
I'm going for 90 +/- days till my B'day at the begining of Sept.
