Re: Disappointing visit to the Biodentist .Please advise

Zirconium crowns, I wouldn't worry too much about the biocompatability of them. Zirconium oxide or zirconia is a white ceramic. That actually use it as an implant material, so really it is safe.

But as for biological dentists, they vary a lot. Some are simply afraid of stepping outside of the approved ways of doing things in case their lose their licenses. Even saying Amalgam is bad a dentist can risk losing their license.

As for your root canal. If it was me I'd just pay a local dentist to remove the tooth. Then instruct him to cut away the bone around the whole socket, for at least a few millimetres, making sure all the ligaments are gone. If it bleeds a reasonable amount, you've reached good bone and it stands a chance of healing. If the dentist takes the tooth out and doesn't clean the socket, and there is an infection in the bone there, the chance of it healing is very small. If they drill it, they risk heating and killing the adjacent bone and also fracturing it microscopically which creates places for bacteria to hide. If you shove enough money in his mouth I am sure he will follow your instructions. If he wont find someone else.
