Re: My first post

Hi there, I had very similar problems as well, and spent so much money and time on tests before I got the stupid thing removed. Some of our similar symptoms: eye problems, chest pain, nausea, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, night sweats, insomnia, weight loss, nervousness, anxiety, ovarian cysts.

After removal you may want to wait at least a couple months before testing your hormones again. Let them level out on their own for awhile, but if you're still feeling bad, it might be a good idea to see where your progesterone levels are.

Like Nile, I tested very high for stress hormones (Cortisol)and pretty low in Progesterone about 3 months after removal, which explained why I was having such a hard time sleeping and felt hyper-alert all the time.

Things have since evened out (I am EXACTLY 2 years post removal today! Yay!), but this has taken a lot of time and patience, and I have faced an occasional new symptom as my body chemistry has readjusted.

You are doing the right thing by getting it removed! Try to stay positive, and think in terms of gradual recovery. Exercise and a good diet has helped me take the occasional crash in stride, but I think time has been the best weapon in my arsenal of Mirena recovery.

Good luck and let us know how you are doing!
