lemonade recipe for a daily batch
Hey good luck with it!
By the way, I like to make my lemonade as a batch for a whole day. That way, I don't have to worry about measuring 2 tbsp of this, 2 tbsp of that, etc. I juice my lemons in the morning, add the syrup, add the water, stir and pour into an old, washed milk jug.
The recipe for a day's worth (assuming 6 servings of 10
oz each, for a grand total of 60 oz, just 4
oz shy of a 1/2 gallon)
(my math whiz boyfriend figured this out for me using Excel, so the proportions are sound)
3/4 cup lemon juice(roughly 3 medium, very ripe lemons' worth)
3/4 cup Grade B maple syrup
7 1/2 cups of filtered water
rounded 1/2 tsp cayenne
(personally, I use cayenne tincture instead, a tip I read on this forum. I then add enough so that the lemonade tastes 2 alarm hot...works out much better for me!)
Hope that helps!
