Re: Support... re: "pro-ana" +edit
"Pro-ana refers to the promotion of the eating disorder anorexia nervosa." Wikipedia.
maybe you mean it in some altogether other way, but If you are looking for the support
of 'pro-ana people' as said in your post, (as wiki describes the term) I feel you are in the wrong place.
That's in NO way what THIS water only fasting forum is on about, nor what it can "support" -- (in any way that would be good for you). Or rather, put another way--this is nothing like what the forum was set up in the spirit of.
It sounds like you need a much more indepth kind of support. You might ask at "the fasting connection"==maybe they have recommendations.
I wish you well,
Chiron
PS, a handful of people over the years have suggested directly, or indirectly, that there is need for a forum for those preparing to water fast. struggling is more often the case. Nothing shameful in that--many have struggled a bit...But this forum isn't the place for the level of pre-fast support request you lay out there. That's just the facts, not some kind of 'bouncer' speech, so please forgive the sound of it. Dpn'y be offended. In all cases, these folks seemed to be dealing with the issues you speak of-- traumas with food, force-feeding, and scenarios that suggest need of deep, unconditional support, a 'sacred space' -- and support only, as in "my way or the highway". This you can only really buy, (or get with some health insurance if very lucky!) in my view.
I have suggested EFT. Lots. It works. Now, I'm suggesting an EFT practitioner. A professional who can cut years/miles off the road yo wholeness. ( "Support" as younow think of it can truly be a thing of the past. Like a fog that lifted. )
Maybe some applied Kinesiology. No question, it's hard to find support that is tailor made, in this world.
Often, one finds that what's really been needed is to let go of all the resistance to others' input, and demands
it be only such and such a way, and EFT CAN really help with that. That's what I heartily suggest in terms of the support with being able to undertake a water fast. It's not about deprivation, in any way, so the 'Pro-ana' mention raises a red flag.
