Surgeon confirms gallbladder flush can work
People in this forum often ask for medical confirmation, so
I thought I'd just relate my experience...
In February, in a consult with a surgeon to determine if I needed surgery, we
discussed alternatives (I was interested in using bile salts, who wants to go under the knife if they dont' have to) and he said "bile salts will work and even olive oil type gallbladder flushes can work, but the stones always come back, every patient I've had that tried these ended up in surgery anyways."
Now this is in BC Canada, where surgeons and doctors get paid per patient/surgery
by the provincial/federal government, there is a set rate for each procedure
and every doctor is paid the same for each particular surgery, they are even limited
as to how many they are each allowed to do. While this very nearly removes
profiteering, it also leads to long wait lists. And in a large city, surgeons and doctors are booked solid for months ,sometimes years, as was my surgeon (he had enough to do without ever touching a gallbladder) - so he had no financial reason to reccommend gallbladder surgery for me or for anyone.
In my case, both my GP and I thought that I had pulled muscle and didn't realize it
was my gallbladder until it was almost too late. I ended up in the emergency room after my third 4 day attack (
Epsom Salts etc... were no longer helping) and was put on the emergency wait list which got me in to surgery within 3 days. Otherwise it would have taken months to get in. At this point I wasn't willing to wait on bile salts or flush, and was about ready to rip the darn thing out myself usinfg only my teeth.
