I agree, it's better to get it over with. Yes you release a ton of toxins in a short timespan, but the alternative is to prolong the agony and allow invasive tissue damage.
I think if it's in fungal form, you need to get rid of it asap and return it to the yeast form. It can do real damage while in the fungal form. It's a only a nuisance in the yeast form.
Also, if you're on that plateau you speak of, I suggest you put the possibility of anaerobic bacterial overgrowth in the ileum on your radar. The conditions created by the candida problem also let anaerobes into the small bowel. They cause more trouble than people realize. Try googling "Fermentation in the small bowel."
