Re: Making it Harder for Candida to Hold On

Hey LBP,

Yeah, that's mostly bile acid, with a small percentage of salts. I had the same response to bile acids as you did. Burning rectum. Bile salts don't have that effect on me.

Some people equate bile acids and salts, but they're actually very different in practice. Bile acids are a bile replacement, while bile salts are more of a bile stimulator (gross oversimplification). Bile salts are also what give stool it's color. Bile consists of mainly bile acids and a small fraction of bile salts.

If I remember correctly, you have the same yellow-ish stool that I had. Bile salts helped fix that for me.

The product I use is Dewes Bile Salts. I get them from Agoodvitamin.com, but they are available at various places. They contain the salt forms of Deoxycholic and Dehydrocholic acid.

I recommend them highly, at least for a trial run. They act as a stool softener/mild laxative, at least at first. They also stimulate bile flow, thin the bile, and help treat some liver disease. I found the effect to be therapeutic and not just cosmetic, lol.

They're not for everyone, but they really helped me.

T.
