I finally know where my palpitations come from !

Hi !

I hope my message will give hope to many.
I have been suffering from extrasystoles since 2003.
It started just before my pregnancy, got a lot worse during my pregnancy and never left me.
I tried lots of stuff : magnesium, vitamin B, hawthorn, anti-candida diet, relaxation, no coffee, no tea, no alcohol... but they kept coming back.
Until a month ago, when my ES had reached their paroxysm : almost constant, coming in series.
I decided to ask mu GP for anti-acids, just to try, I didnt actually think my stomach had anything wrong as I did suffer from reflux at times, but not then.
I had to insist a bit, but my GP finally agreed.

I remember that evening coming back from the doctor's, feeling miserable. I took the pills (stuff that help "emptying" the stomach, and antiacids) and 1h later my palpitations WERE GONE ! Totally gone.
I went to bed, all the time expecting palpitations (when lying down, when bending over, when waking up etc).
NOTHING.

10 days later, I had finished my 'trial treatment' and the palpitations came back straight away... and stopped as soon as I took the treatment again.

The strange thing is that I've noticed the difference since taking the medication. There WAS a burning sensation in my oesophagus most of the time, I must have got used to it.
Of course, the problem is not solved yet, I have to deal with the stomach now, as I'm not planning to take antiacids for the rest of my life. But I feel I go on living my life again.

I had become hopeless after 8 years, until I came across an article about the "vagus nerve" and its connexion with the stomach and the heart.
I'm not saying your case is necessarily like mine, but I think it is definitely worth giving stomach pills a try.
Good luck to all :-)
