Before we jump on the latest "DCA cancer cure" bandwagon . . .

It looks like the DCA "Cancer Cure" story is making the rounds again.  The DCA cancer cure story has been around in one form or another for a few years now.  While I don't want to throw cold water on a good story, the fact is that while DCA appears to promise for some forms of cancer, it is very premature to call DCA a "cure" for cancer.  Like many "cancer cures" which have made the rounds, thus far the hype appears to far outweigh the reality.

Thus far, DCA has shown considerably less than 100% effectiveness in both rodent very limited human trials trial - and only against a couple of kinds of cancer.  In the human trials thus far, DCA apparently has been administered along with traditional therapies such as chemo and radiation.

If I had glioblastoma, I might seriously consider adding DCA to an overall cancer fighting regimen and might possibly consider it for other forms of cancer if I weren't getting the results I wanted - but I would make sure that I got it from a reputable source and not some of the talc salesmen out there.

For another perspective on DCA, see:
