Re: Post Master Cleanse: Water Retention or Lowered Metabolism?

You did a week master cleanse and few salt water flushes and thats it?
Or am I reading something wrong?
You are not going to screw up your metabolism much from brief diets like that even long term fasting don't permanently screw up metabolism.
Water retention is different subject. We all hold water ,heavier people hold more water usually but everyone is bit different.I seem to hold around 10 or so water.
I lose it quick on Water Fast and it comes back quick post fast. Salt and carbs make you hold water and some people are better at not holding it. Some really obese people can hold massive amounts of it.

Salt water flushes seem unecessary to me never done one and likely never will.

I dont' think there are many ways to not hold water, heard if you don't drink enough you can hold more, there are diuretics but they are not alway good idea. You may just have to live with it. I do. If really want to look trim and not bloated then simply Water Fast for like 3 days and will drop like 10 pounds ,8 or so is water and rest if fat type of thing. If don't eat any salt or carbs could keep it off but thats pretty hard to do as like some salt and not giving up all carbs.

things also can depend on your age, kidney function, etc.
Heart condition. I will retain more water as the day goes on and will get some edema. I am 53 .Think my heart is not bad but am still 214 pounds and likely should be 40 or so lighter still. Working on it.

You are likely always going to hold 5 or 10 of water. As said if you have to lose it fast just do Water Fasting for like three or four days. It will go away. Zero salt and zero carbs will do that.
