Why does b/o just linger?

Why is it that people with normal Body Odor , even terrible Body Odor , the smell seems to dissipate but not ours? Ours seems to fill an entire room and it just stays there without moving. You can almost cut it with a knife. Why does the smell not dissipate?

If we're outside, you can't smell people with Body Odor outside but our body odor seems to linger on us and if we stand just right and the wind hits us, people can get a whiff of us or we can even smell ourselves.

Why does this pungent body odor just linger?
