Cleansing and "reactions"....Re: Uny- kidney flush

Okay, so I did two days of lemon/cayenne and tea: 3 cups the first and 6, the second and last night I started having trouble breathing, which I haven't experienced in a few months. I think it has to do with peeing so often and loss of minerals. I felt a little better after I took some spirulina with some sea salt in it, but I've decided to stop early because I'm still having some trouble breathing today. I was also really irritable and sensitive last night. Anyways, two days is better than none though, right?!?!

Yep, two days is definitely better than none!  Good job :)

It's very typical to 'pee like crazy' on this cleanse (particularly if we need the cleanse).  It's all about "flow" when it comes to healing (or anything, actually :) Some of that extra urination is our kidneys ridding our body of excess fluid we've been retaining (which is symptom of dehydration in many cases, but there are other reasons for fluid retention, especially when the heart is stressed and not pumping adequate blood to the kidneys).   Suggestions below on the possible electrolyte imbalance issue/support.

One thing everybody always needs to remember is a very typical 'rule of thumb':  the more we need a specific cleanse, the more likely we are to have some type of reaction when doing it.

Back to the ole auto analogy - if the fuel lines, fuel injectors and carburetor are a clean and flowing smoothly and we add a can of "fuel line cleaner", there's no noticeable difference (and certainly no 'reaction').  BUT if everything is all clogged up and we put in a can of  "fuel line cleaner", the result is all varieties of new symptoms & reactions (even reactions that may not seem/obviously to have anything to do with fuel lines/injectors & carburetors).  When this happens, we know we have an issue with these things, and we either need more of the 'fuel line cleaner' or we need to be more aggressive (with changing filters, cleaning the carb, flushing the lines, etc).

Why does this happen?  Any tube, tunnel/hole, or even major organ through which blood/fluids flow becomes impacted, clogged and narrowed with various build-up (this is especially true when people have had lots of hard/spring water, rock minerals & mucus forming foods).  The more impacted/congested these openings are, the more likely there is to be some type of 'reaction' when cleansing, because anything that starts dissolving or dislodging can interrupt the flow (or create MORE flow) - either can & will result in 'reactions' or various symptoms...and these symptoms & reactions are clear indicators that we need to press onward :)

As far as frequent urination and loss of minerals, we must remember that we're working with compromised organs (and our bodies know far 'more better' how to deal with this than we do...basically, it's never going to do harm to itself).  Sure, if we drink 'more fluids' and ingest healing & cleansing herbs, we're going to urinate more...but this 'more urination' and more 'healthy cleansing flow' throughout the kidneys and bladder (that can result in temporarily imbalanced electrolytes) is the very thing that heals & restores our clogged, shriveled/dehydrated/hardened, compromised and malfunctioning organs so they can work properly.  While the symptoms of the healing/cleansing may be uncomfortable or unwanted, our body actually welcomes the healing & cleansing.  So we 'take note' of what's happening, we back-off if the symptoms are too harsh for us to bear/tolerate, and we stay 'on course' as much as possible :)

I'm not saying you/anyone should lie gasping on the floor feeling like there's an elephant on your chest, but when these types of reactions occur, the best option is to add ways to 'support the cleanse & healing' process.  The number one rule is always to make sure we're not doing or ingesting anything that harms or stresses (in this case) the kidneys/adrenals, which of course, brings up the 'meat/dairy' issue that is a 'discomfort zone'  for you I know...but when it comes to kidneys, the meat/egg thing is an issue (and I couldn't live with myself if I didn't post in the most honest & truthful way).  The volatile amount of toxins stored in animal flesh (even in the most 'organic' of animals...just like the amount of poisons stored in our fat/flesh) is very stressful to the kidneys, not to mention the uric acid.  And, (as Dr. Christopher would say), the "death & fear chemicals" (adrenaline, etc) that flooded the animals body/flesh before it was killed are toxic to us when we eat them (broths are even worse, as the combined toxins, acids & adrenaline/death hormones are more dissolved/saturated and easier to assimilate).  Even the allopaths know that animal protein is hard on the kidneys (particularly anything high in phosphorus; egg yolks are a big offender, as are many organ-meats).   And of course fear/death chemicals/homrones (including animal adrenaline) is the opposite of goodness for anyone with known adrenal issues :(

Our bodies have a very ordered set of priorities (blood pH has to remain at a stable 7.35 or we die) - so the body/kidneys are not going to prioritize a little thing like balancing electrolytes over removing poisons, acids and unnatural hormones from the bloodstream.   When our kidneys are compromised and throwing us very real symptoms of despair & disease (and crying out to us for help in the only way they have), we need to do our best to stop doing anything that stress them further, while doing everything we can to support the cleansing and healing.

With electrolyte imbalances, the best thing we can do is provide ample amounts of minerals with all their naturally occuring phytochemicals.  This helps to prevent the roller-coastering that is so frequent when ingesting isolated substances.  A good example is how processed sugar immediately raises blood sugar, resulting in an immediate drop in the blood sugar (especially in those with blood sugar imbalances)...but make that processed sugar a well-chewed piece of fruit or grains and the sugar has all the naturally occuring phytochemicals that help keep things in balance.   Same with "salt" - our sodium levels drop, so we ingest dead rock salt (which dehydrates, so we drink more water, then the salt imbalance returns, then more salt, then more water, etc).  Oooh, our poor kidneys :(  Some celery juice would provide the salt and the hydration (and the phytochemicals & cofactors so necessary for balance).   So, a healthy, veggie mineral broth is a fantastic support for any cleanse - particularly the kidney/bladder cleanse.  In fact, lol (goofy me) I guess Dr. Schulze/Christopher 'knew that already', because Schulze always suggests a high-mineral "potassium broth" with all of his cleanses :)  Here's the basic recipe (tweak as necessary - I always add lots of greenery and many folks add a bit of seaweed...go heavy on the celery if you feel you're lacking salt):

1. Fill a LARGE pot with 25% Potato peelings, 25% Carrot peelings and WHOLE chopped Beets, 25% chopped Onions, including 50 cloves of Garlic, 25% Celery and DARK Greens.
2. Add HOT Peppers to taste.
3. Add enough Distilled Water to cover the Vegetables and simmer on very LOW temperature for 1-2 hours.
4. Strain, or just dip your mug in, and drink ONLY the Broth.
5. Make enough for 2 days, refrigerating the leftover Broth.

Suggestions (although you didn't actually ask for them).

According to this:  so I did two days of lemon/cayenne and tea: 3 cups the first and 6, the second and last night I started having trouble breathing, which I haven't experienced in a few months. = Day One with the morning drink & 3 cups of tea, there wasn't any/much breathing difficulty, but after going to the 6 cups of tea, you had the  trouble breathing the next night.  I suggest that you should do it again, sticking with 3 cups of tea initially, but add the veggie mineral broth and do your best to eliminate anything that's a streser to the kidneys.  Then continue, adding an additional cup of tea on the 2nd day, another cup on the 3rd day, etc.  And of course, as many 'superfood powders' as possible :)

I think you did great to get as far as you did!  You're in a strong healing pattern, and that's a definite goodness.  I just want to caution everybody that it's very easy with herbal cleansing to 'back off' when there's a healing symptom/crisis...and many times starting to cleanse and leaving things left undone can can have negative results (although you might not see them immediately).  So take care, listen closely to you doctor within...and keep up the good work!

Healthiest of blessings,

Uny
