Starting copper detox, but confused about several things...can you help?

I recently got my test results back from my naturopath and based on several indicators, she said she believes I'm copper toxic. She also indicated I have severe adrenal fatigue, which wasn't exactly news since I was scripted low doses of hydrocortisone several years ago by a hormone specialist for this condition.

Anyway, I'm confused about several things. First is that while I may be copper toxic, I'm also deficient. Now, I understand how this could be, but what I don't understand is whether I'm supposed to limit copper supplementation/copper rich foods while I try to get this excess copper out of my body. The ND says I need to continue taking a multi with copper in it, but from all I've read, I'm not so sure. I suffer from symptoms of both copper deficiency and excess, so I obviously need to increase my body's ability to properly use copper, and to that end I've been given Drenamin to help with adrenal fatigue, Pancreatrophin PMG for digestive/pancreatic support, am taking Betaine HCI and additional digestive enzymes.

To help eliminate the exess copper, I'm taky molybdenum, zinc and several other supplements.

But do I need to reduce my current copper intake or not?

Also, I'm confused about the idea of having excess copper because everything I've read indicates increased copper would lower histamine, yet I have somewhat high histamine. At the time of my blood tests, I was taking huge amounts of a complete amino acid supplement, which could have resulted in the higher level of histamine in my blood, but in addition to that, I also have allergy-type symptoms such as itchy, runny eyes, sneezing and scratchy throat.

Is it possible to have copper toxicity and also have high histamine?

Another question I have is about the adrenal fatigue -- according to one of the tests I took, my night-time cortisol level was elevated (it was a night-time urine test). I've had horrible insomnia for quite some time, made worse the past 6 months since I stopped taking sleeping pills. (and yes, I've tried virtually every natural sleeping remedy out there with very little relief).

Anyway, since I have such low energy during the day, it seems likely my daytime cortisol is low, which seems typical of adrenal fatigue, but I don't understand why my night-time cortisol is slightly elevated if my adrenals are so fatigued. Is it just a matter of them being so messed up that they don't know when to produce the right amount? Is the excess copper forcing them to produce too much cortisol at night?

I've emailed my ND all these questions, but she hasn't gotten back with me. I'm pretty frustrated with her about this actually -- she doesn't seem to see any reason to rush as far as getting back with me or getting me on the right treatment plan and I continue to sit here, mired is severe Depression and insomnia, wasting my life away. She's the only one with a solid reputation in my community, however, which is why I chose her, but I've been so ill this past year that I'm barely functioning and I can't afford to waste anymore time just barely existing.

Can someone here please help me?
