Re: Question for Proud Momma
Wow...interesting, ettolrahc. You've really got me thinking.
Believe it or not, yes...I have lost some weight recently. Nothing major (because I'm pretty slim already--I was one of those who lost a lot of weight on Mirena and not gained), but I started training to run a 5k over the past three months. Naturally, it made me drop even more weight. This is the first time since my first detox that I have felt any symptoms. It's still nothing like before, but I have to admit, I have kept thinking, "Why now? This doesn't make any sense." Hmmmmmmmm..... You really have my brain working on this one.
I would love to hear from other ladies. Did your symptoms get worse when you lost weight?
I am on day 8 of detox #2 right now, and I will call my doc to see if there is anything reasoning behind why that could be. He was talking to me just the other day about how it isn't unusual at all that so many of our symptoms are neurological....synthetic hormones store themselves in our fat. I was confused because I'm actually thinner than I've almost ever been, and he said, "Right...but what people forget is that our brains are 60% fat. Soooooo, where do you think a lot of that synthetic hormone is storing itself?" Interesting. I never thought of that.
I'll let you know what I find out regarding the weight loss/increase in symptoms.
Suddenly, I feel very led to eat a bowl of fattening ice cream with the excuse that it is good for the improving of my health...hee hee....
