Re: Follop up spinal stenosis
Besides the bone and joint formula should I add anti-inflammatories?
After keeping it under control with supplements and exercise for 10 years, all the sudden my feet now start
tingling (loosing feeling) after I walk a few hundred feet. I feel it going down my leg so I assume it is from my back.
There are actually a lot of anti-inflammatories in the Bone and Joint.
There are various neuropathies that can cause the symptom you describe, but being that it is when you walk it does sound more like a structural disorder causing it. This could be from a misalignment of the hips and/or spine or a bone spur compressing the sciatic nerve. Either way the pressure needs to be taken off the nerve.
One option is to go to a good chiropractor. They can also do an X-ray to look for spurs. Otherwise have someone check your hips and spine. To check the hips they would get down to eye level with your hips. Then they put their fingers on both hip bones at the same time to see if their fingers are at the same level. If the hips are tilted then one of their fingers will be higher than the other. This is very common, and people often think they have one leg shorter than the other, which makes them wobble when they walk. But they legs are the same length, it is just the hips being tilted pulls one leg up higher. Have them check your hips both from the front and the back as the hips can tilt straight up or forward or backward. If they are tilted then the muscles will need to released on the inside of the hip bone.
Next, have them check the spine. Start by placing a finger on the middle of the vertebrae at the base of the neck while you are standing. Then they use a finger from the other hand to find the middle of the vertebrae all the way down to the lower back. Each point should be directly below the top finger. If the second finger is showing the middle of the vertebrae below the first vertebrae is to the left or right then the spine is curved and the muscles on the side of the curve need to be massaged to relax them so the opposing muscles can pull the spine back the other direction. I have an old post on doing this here:
