Re: Pancreatitis - Lipase levels are 800 still after 5 weeks-

I was in the exact same condition august 2009.an ultra sound and cat scan showed nothing even though they knew my pancreas was blocked because of those levels of amylase and lipase.they sent me to my primary care physician,he sends me to a specialist a gastroenterologist,he sends me back to the same hospital to have an mri done,and there is my tumor.I was stage 4 because they took so long to diagnose it correctly.I would ask to have a ca 19-9 blood test done.mine was about 800.Its a cancer marker.everyone has cancer cells but they should be under 37.
