Re: Detoxing from chocolate and caffeine - help!
Hi M,
Yes, go easy and more than anything be patient with yourself because for all you know, there are other things lying within that may need to be addressed so this can be the beginning of something wonderful as well as becoming a better steward of you body.
In a sense, you're creating a new season in your life, like winter going into Spring, so as your dormant body reacts to new climates of healthiness, mediate/pray and ask your higher power what should you do.
As far as energy there are tons of things from ACV & honey or molasses to various teas, the list is almost endless. I find fresh juices great plus you're getting vitamins and minerals and I always throw in a a clove or two of garlic..be careful though, especially if you're going to be in contact with people. : )
You may, in the future,(I'm no expert)try researching different cleanses as your body speaks to you. When I fasted, it took about three days before I hit a balance where I didn't have the head-achy/grouchy miserable feeling from detoxing and although it's over a week for you, of course, everybody's different.
You may even look at this as a launching pad (but go slow or at least no faster than your angels can fly). :)
This is a wonderful forum, however, one thing I learned since I'm no intellect is to stay away from the
Debate Forums unless you have plenty of time to research. I didn't understand what was going on until I got confused, fed up and a little wiser, again I'm all for info but not crazy about going back and forth, etc. It'll cut down on a lot of confusion but that's just me.
Good luck! ; )
