I've used cayenne powder for some pretty deep cuts, myself. My kids are blown away at how fast it stops the blood, and it really doesn't sting. You'd think it would.

Question for Uny: How do we handle deep cuts that really do look like they need stitches? I know we can stop the bleeding, and I know we can apply BFC (Bone, Flesh, and Cartilage formula)and aloe vera for wound healing (plus drinking the BFC tea internally, but how do we keep a deep cut closed? Do we just keep gauze, tape, and butterfly bandages in our first aid kits at home? If we had a big gash somewhere- like on one of our boys' heads (!)- or, like one of my dear friends' little boys slammed the door on his finger and chopped part of it off-
