Don't guess. Biggest mistake you could make. If you cough anything up, produce anything from the sinuses, have it cultured. Be sure lab is actually CULTURING, as many labs claim they do but in fact, do not. Lab must hold culture for 2 weeks, provide preliminary report, another two week for final.
