What I can't get is

Why so many of you leave the former reply in the subject line after adding a new reply, like this :

No, I've got a Texas accent...Re: And one more thing.

Not to be a nit picker, but there's no need for that old text and just adds clutter and makes it harder to read. All you have to do is highlight the former text with your mouse after you add new text, and bump the backspace button and it's gone. No biggie at all, but there is absolutely no need for that former reply text to be there.
