My issues started in my armpits when I hit puberty and somehow, someway..(I believe it started as compensatory sweating after I got a liposuction procedure done by my dermatologist) and it migrated down to my groin area. Now I have excessive sweating and odor in both places (lucky me, huh). The apocrine glands in your armpits and groin are the same so the bacteria breakdown of the sweat in those areas is going to be the same smelly mess for people like us. Sometimes I'm okay and I'm able to just deal with this as my reality and sometimes I get SO sick and tired of dealing with this nightmare (esp. after an esp. hurtful remark from someone) I quit my job because of the daily/weekly ridicule that I rcvd from both my peers and supervisors (yes, supervisors) and I'm now in school. Long hours in school are difficult and I don't go anywhere unless I take a shower immediately before leaving. My tips are to take cool showers (or atleast cool the water a couple minutes before stepping out). Invest in a stainless steel bar (The sell cheap ones for the kitchen that are $3-$6) and rub for 30 secs each under water in your armpits and groin. Dry off completely and if it's warm and you sweat easily like me, get dress in front of a blowing fan. Apply a salt based body spray in your problem areas (right now I use Dr Mist, its okay, I guess) and I let it dry and then apply Arm and Hammer roll on (the solid doesn't work for me but the roll on is pretty good). I use a combo of baking soda and baby powder to help keep me dry if I'm not sweating too much. I also take a spray bottle of 50% Alcohol 50% Witch Hazel and baby wipes with me wherever I go so I can freshen up whenever I'm out and about. After freshening up, I reapply my Dr Mist in both areas and deo under my armpits. I also try to take a change of clothes just in case I'm sweating terribly but can freshen up and change clothes. I also take a probiotic and I use the Waterworks system (from the sellers of the De Odor)
