Burning butt/Acidic elimination ;P
Good morning!
It's been about two or three months now of working on a very healthy diet- light meats in the daytime (eggs, chicken, etc, fish), dark green salads, fresh fruits and seeds, 5-grain bread (a little), garlic, red onion, etc.. And kelp. Some kelp here, some there.
At certain points I have had acidic tinges at the rectum- at others, simply leakage. There's no problem too much with digestion- healthy, middling-brown eliminations, some plain old sinking and some floating.
I have used magnesium and vitamin D3 in varying levels over the past two months to see if the effects spoken about online were quite true - they are, but I'm also learning that I need to be careful with mineral balance.
I'm wondering what can cause the acidic digestive tract? Is it simply too much meat or the wrong type? I have no problems with soy products, and have been pretty up-to-date each morning with soy yogurt mixed with ecological skim milk. I have thought that it's simply a need for fiber to soak up the acidic state, but it might also be that my body needs time to adjust to the new mix of diet.
I'm thinking that there's certainly people here with experience! I certainly do get a teensy bit tired after a meal with meat, but I want to ignore the body's needs for fresh protiens.
Hrm.. might have to start adding in more beans. I have some black eyed peas and mung beans I can experiment with.
Replies and thoughs most certainly welcome- especially insight into the digestive thing. :)
