Brewers yeast instead of nutritional yeast? Re: Stomaching Superfood
I can't imagine being able to swallow "Superfood" that was 1/2 brewer's yeast...that just HAS to be the problem (that stuff is NASTY tasting).
I remember my grandparent taking it when I was young, and just smelling it made me gag (literally).
If you're going to use brewers yeast, I suggest mixing the Superfood without it, and then take the Brewers yeast separately.
The typical Superfood-smoothie recommended by Schulze is 1 cup juice, a piece of fruit, 1 cup water, some ice (maybe) and however much Superfood you're using.
We use apple juice/cider, water, ice and a banana...and 4T Superfood. But of course, our Superfood is made with nutritional yeast, so it's much more palatable.
