Has anybody here had optic nerve damage related to Mirena?

Hi all,

There are a lot of reports of blurred vision on this page and I was wondering if anybody on here had been confirmed with eye damage during or post mirena? Specifically to the optic nerve?

I went in for a glasses exam a couple weeks ago, and mentioned that I had been having blurred vision and a lot of floaters for the past couple of years but I thought it was related to hormones. The doctor decided to run a few tests.

It turns out my optic nerve has thinned significantly in the past few years. This doesn't mean I have glaucoma yet, but it is something my doctor does want to keep an eye on.

Since I also have been developing ovarian cysts since Mirena, I am worried that I may have developed PCOS, and its cohorts -- insulin resistance/diabetes, which can lead to glaucoma. I am thin, so PCOS/diabetes is not an obvious diagnosis, but is still a possibility. They would help explain my fatigue and foggy head 2 years post Mirena, as well as continued urinary problems.

I'm going to get this further checked out with my gyno and opthalmologist -- just wondering if anybody else here had reportable change in eye health?
