cedar oil and sticky traps ( lesions ) not plastic

I had been using cedar oil on the lesions to get out what was in there. It does work after rubbing it in, out comes many more larva looking things. Unfortunately if it is Arthrobotrys oligospora it grows on cedar and the lesion became an oozer of much more sticky gel. I have stopped using it since it may feed the fungus but kill the worms or help them escape the trap by melting the glue. I no longer think plastic is involved but thanks so much for posting about it. Provided another clue!
