Me neither! My boyfriend and brother talk about "heartburn" when they eat a big meal and have mild indigestion, but they have no idea how bad it can be.

If you look at my old posts there's more detail, but basically, I could hardly eat anything because my nausea was so bad. When I did eat, I would taste acid from reflux constantly. My throat was swollen, I lost my voice, and I had earaches because of the reflux damaging my esophagus and getting into the ear canal. I slept on an incline so I wouldn't have such bad acid, but woke up in the midde of the night and morning with nausea and stomach pain almost every day. My heartburn was more like pregancy heartburn, so my doctor told me, severe pain in my left arm, through my heart and down my side, in a "seatbelt" shape.

This was one of the darkest times for me. I had lost a ton of weight and looked and felt ill because of digestive problems with Mirena, and thought once it was removed I would start to gain weight and feel healthy and strong again. Instead, I continued to lose weight because it hurt too much to eat.

I know what you're going through. If it's not H Pylori, it can definitely be related to hormones. Look through my old posts, my heartburn/reflux was really bad for about 3 months, then tapered off for about three months. I think there's a post where I finally started to feel better. It can get better, it may just take time : )
