Christian theology and the Bible are irrelevant to public policy. Our laws are not based on any one religion and what the scriptures say on the subject is of interest only to those who believe in it. Many Americans are not Christian and should not be governed by Christian theology.
No one is "pro-abortion," but a woman's decision as to whether she should bear a child is between her, her family, her doctor and her clergy. It is not the role of government. Isn't it interesting that many who advocate small government not intruding on people's lives and who favor no government role in health care, would have the government dictate when a woman should bear a child. "Don't interfere with my health care, interfere with hers."
